Hyundai extends scrappage offer

  • Offer of £2000 trade-in discount on any model
  • Existing scrappage customer offer from £499
  • Friends and family £250 discount voucher

Hyundai is launching a new sales incentive to counter the loss of the Government's scrappage scheme which is expected to end next month.

The first incentive is Trade & Upgrade, whereby anyone with a car aged between seven and 10 years old will qualify for a £2,000 discount on any new Hyundai when they trade their car in. Any buyer thinking of taking up this offer should always check the value of the current car first to make sure it isn't worth more than £2000.

The second scheme is 'Happy Returns', which offers customers who bought an i10, i20 or i30 under the scrappage incentive last year the chance to swap their car for a brand new model for a small upgrade fee.

The swap can be made any time up to the car's first anniversary. Buyers will contribute £499 for an i10 upgrade, £599 for an i20 and £749 for an i30.

And in a separate move, Hyundai is offering all 33,000 people who made use of scrappage to buy a new Hyundai a voucher which will entitle friends and family to £250 off the cost of a new Hyundai.
