Not a perfect car, but I've yet to find one. I'd advise against the X-drive as it's not as efficient, and most people don't need four-wheel drive anyway. The BMW Active Tourer 220D is a nice compromise. The automatic gearbox is the best I've driven, and the bonus is that it's more efficient than the manual! It's quick (0-60mph in about 7 secs); its fuel efficient (46mpg around town), and costs just £30/year in road tax. The cruise-control feature makes longer trips very relaxing especially when towing, and the A/C is very good. The car has got a lot going for it and so far I'm very pleased.
How reliable do you find the car?
Only had the car since May 2016, so too early to assess reliability, but no problems at all so far.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Extremely good automatic gearbox - smooth a silk. Quick, fuel efficient, and low emissions. Servicing every 24 months means costs are low. Tows my caravan with ease and I get 30+mpg!About their car
