Honda is introducing a sporty version of its Jazz hatchback in a bid to appeal to younger drivers.

The Si will top the 1.2-litre range with extra features over the SE. In 1.4-litre models the Si is a mid-range model with specification over and above ES models. It is only available with a manual transmission.

Standard equipment includes 16-inch alloys, a chrome sports front grille and rear spoiler, embroidered carpet mats and Si branding on the boot lid and glove box.

The Si grade is priced at an additional £870 over the 1.2 SE and 1.4 ES models, but Honda says it offers almost £2,000 worth of extra equipment.

The Jazz 1.2-litre Si is priced at £12,835 and the Jazz 1.4-litre Si costs £13,510. It goes on sale on April 1.
