How much could your supermarket save you?

Britain's top supermarkets are continuing to cut the cost of fuel, with petrol no at its lowest price for three years while diesel is at a two-year low. The big four supermarkets have all cut diesel prices to 94.9p per litre while petrol prices can be found for 82.9p per litre at some forecourts.

Diesel cut to 94.9p per litre

Asda has cut the price of fuel by 3p per litre and is now offering petrol at 82.9p per litre at all 172 forecourts. The supermarket has also cut 3p off diesel, dropping the price down to 94.9p per litre

Unlike other leading supermarkets, Asda's fuel prices are national, meaning all customers benefit equally up and down the country – regardless of where you live.

Tesco petrol 82.9p per litre

Tesco petrol prices have dropped to 82.9p while diesel is down to 94.9p. But remember, Tesco prices are not nationwide and these prices can only be found at particular pumps.

Don’t forget! Drivers with a Tesco Clubcard receive one point for every £1 spent at a Tesco filling station. They’ll quickly add up and could save you a tidy sum over a year.

Morrisons diesel down to 94.9p per litre

Morrisons has cut the price of its petrol again at its 287 filling stations. The lowest price of petrol is now 82.9p and diesel is just 94.9p.

Do you fill up on fuel at Morrisons often? If so, take advantage of the Morrisons Miles scheme. You earn points for every litre of fuel you purchase and can redeem your savings when shopping in-store.

Petrol prices down to 82.9p per litre

Sainsbury's has cut petrol prices to bring the cost down to 82.9p per litre and diesel is now  94.9p per litre. However, Sainsbury's local price policy means that you may not benefit from the latest price cut.

Of course Sainsbury's customers can still take advantage of additional Nectar points when you fill up at their forecourt.
