The news on the Ferrari stand is an all-new car called the F12 Berlinetta. It is accompanied by a facelifted California convertible.

Parkers Pick – F12 Berlinetta

  • What is it? A new V12 Ferrari coupe to supersede the 599.
  • Vital stats and facts: The most powerful Ferrari road car ever, a 6.3-litre V12 petrol engine making 730bhp means 62mph flashes by in 3.1 seconds. Top speed is 210mph. It’ll also sprint from 0-124mph in 8.5 seconds.
  • Why would you buy it? It’s a stunning rear-wheel-drive Ferrari with 730bhp. ’nuff said.
  • Why wouldn’t you? It won’t be cheap.
  • Prices and launch date: Sales should start at the end of 2012, and prices could be as much as £250,000.

What else is on the stand?

There was also a more powerful version of the firm’s California convertible. The V8 petrol engine has been updated and now produces 409bhp, while 30kg has been stripped from the car’s kerbweight. The effect of these tweaks mean the 0-62mph sprint takes just 3.8 seconds. There’s also a ‘Handling Speciale’ pack to build upon the car’s cornering ability. See Car Magazine’s full expose here.

Finally, there was an FF on the stand too. The four-wheel-drive Ferrari was released last year but is still new enough to warrant a place on the stand.
