Limited rear space, engine coarse at higher revs
The A2 is the world's first high-volume production car with a bodyshell built entirely from weight-saving aluminium. It may have an overall length of just 3.82 metres (12ft 6ins), but the A2 is not short of interior space with good passenger room. It was also incredibly eco-friendly before its time with excellent fuel consumption and low CO2 figures - as a result it can compete with the greenest new cars on sale today and is cheap to run. It's big on the inside too - the rear foot-wells are lower than those in the front for extra legroom while the rear seats fold down or can be removed altogether.
