The A4 is the nearest rival to the BMW 3-Series in the compact executive class. It's a hard act to beat, let down only by tight rear passenger and luggage space. Otherwise it's great, with superb interiors plus excellent petrol and turbo diesel engines wrapped up in a very classy body. Handling is always composed and refined. Almost perfect.
