Audi A5 Coupé (07 on) - Review

Sleek and elegant German coupes are nothing new, though the A5 is the first of this size that Audi has built in a long time. It’s a good all-round package that comes close to matching the BMW 3-Series Coupe with a fine range of engines, a high quality interior and an enjoyable driving experience. It may not be a radical departure for Audi in terms of styling, but it looks purposeful nonetheless. A superb grand tourer, there's also a high performance version in the form V8-powered S5 - covered in a separate review - but it's the excellent diesels which make the most sense thanks to their blend of punchy performance and good economy.

Sleek and elegant German coupes are nothing new, though the A5 is the first of this size that Audi has built in a long time. It’s a good all-round package that comes close to matching the BMW 3-Series Coupe with a fine range of engines, a high quality interior and an enjoyable driving experience. It may not be a radical departure for Audi in terms of styling, but it looks purposeful nonetheless. A superb grand tourer, there's also a high performance version in the form V8-powered S5 - covered in a separate review - but it's the excellent diesels which make the most sense thanks to their blend of punchy performance and good economy.
