Audi A8 Saloon (10 on) - Review

There are two trim levels - SE and SE Executive - and as you'd imagine from a luxury saloon, both are very well equipped. The SE has metallic paint, 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension, Audi Drive Select, Bluetooth, DAB Digital Radio, cruise control, keyless start, double glazing, electrically folding and dimming heated door mirrors, heated front seats, Valcona leather upholstery, a ventilated glove box, four-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats and the MMI sat nav system. The SE Executive trim adds 19-inch alloys, an electrically operated bootlid, keyless entry and a rear parking camera. The biggest feature for gadget fans is likely to be the online services that will be available from launch. As long as you have a smartphone and are in an area with sufficient GSM reception, you will be able to check the latest weather, travel and news on the MMI screen on the central console. There will also be capabilities to search for points of interest via Google and an online trip planner. Travel to the continent, and the lights and the clock will switch automatically to European settings as the systems 'talk' to each other. Extra equipment added to the long-wheelbase version includes heated outer rear seats, sunroof, deluxe four-zone climate control and electric rear and side window blinds.
