Audi TT Coupé (06 on) - Review Review by Simon Harris on 05 September 2006 Last Updated: 27 October 2010 Audi's second generation TT is clearly related to its predecessor - but thanks to sleeker lines the coupe has a more aggressive and sporty appearance than before. If any criticism could have been levelled at the original TT, it would have been a lack of interior space and the fact that it was a less rewarding drive than some rivals. Audi has taken both of these factors on board to create a larger but lighter TT Coupe with improved handling and more space inside. The TT should, once again, be top of wish lists for people who want a stylish sports coupe and there's a good choice of engines available including an economical TDI which is capable of 53mpg. 4.5 out of 5 Other Audi reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 3.5 out of 5 Comfort The new TT is roomier than the first generation car for both front and rear-seat occupants. Air conditioning and electric windows are standard, and the ride, while firm, it still quite forgiving of poor road surfaces. Leather and Alcantara trim is standard on the 2.0-litre while full leather and heated front seats are standard on the V6 - the TTS gets Alcantara and leather sports seats. However the firmer suspension on the performance model means it does struggle to cope with potholes. The rear seats are best suited to children, but teenagers would probably be happy using them too. The boot is 20 litres larger than in the old model with 290 litres in total - plus the space with the rear seats folded has also increased by 20 litres. The glove compartment offers decent storage and there are a couple of other cubbyholes and useful pockets in the car. Get a Audi TT Coupé valuation View full gallery How does the boot space compare? The dashboard centre is angled slightly towards the driver, and controls and switches are clearly marked. The tapering rear compromises over-the-shoulder visibility, but overall the TT's cabin is excellent with neat details such as the three circular air vents and flat-bottomed steering wheel. Quality is unsurpassed and all the controls and switches work with real precision. View full gallery Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
