Cadillac BLS Wagon (08 on) - Review Review by Simon Harris on 03 December 2007 Last Updated: 05 November 2008 Cadillac relied on Saab engineering to produce its smallest model, the BLS. Based on the Saab 9-3 Sportwagon (and built in the same plant) the BLS Wagon arrived a couple of years after its saloon counterpart and is Cadillac's first ever estate car. At the time of the Wagon's launch, Cadillac's presence in the UK had reduced to just five dealers with three additional approved repairers, so brand and product awareness is a major challenge. However, the BLS Wagon is a competent car, if a little short on carrying capacity compared with some rivals. 3.5 out of 5 Other Cadillac reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Gallery Also Consider 3.5 out of 5 Saab 9-3 Sportwagon (05-11) Sharp styling on newer models, strong turbocharged engine performance, comfortable ride Lack of rear space, feels dated inside, alternatives are better to drive, boot isn't particularly generous Read full review 4 out of 5 Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon (06-11) Wonderfully distinctive styling, wonderful cabin, strong diesel line-up, great handling Not very practical for an estate, tight space for passengers in the back Read full review 4 out of 5 Volvo V50 (04 on) Stylish design, compact yet practical, low running costs with DRIVe versions, strong diesel models Fidgety ride, loses out to rivals for outright carrying capacity Read full review Find other estate cars Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
