Cadillac CTS (05-07) - Review Review by Parkers on 01 January 2005 Cadillac's return to the UK market was spearheaded by the CTS. Rather than simply flogging us an American car, they made considerable efforts to emulate the standards of European prestige manufacturers and you'll be relieved to know it's even right-hand-drive. It looks quite unlike anything else you'll currently see on British roads with distinctive, angular styling. There's a generous level of equipment and a lot of effort went into making the driving experience match that of European rivals. They've even honed it at Germany's Nürburgring to bring its handling up to scratch. As a result you'll like it if you want a relatively sporting driving experience, but the ride is rather too firm to be considered luxurious. 3 out of 5 Other Cadillac reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 2.5 out of 5 Running costs The Cadillac badge has negligible brand value in the UK at the moment, which means its residual values won't be as strong as established premium manufacturers. However its limited numbers and likely appeal to early adopters ought to ensure it fairs better than run-of the mill brands. It won't be a frugal choice and a diesel engine is still a long way off too. On the other hand it is generously equipped and represents good value for money. Emissions summary CTS is a polluting model. With an average of 277 g/km CO2 across the line-up, its emissions are high for an executive saloon. It's worth noting that the line-up does not feature any diesel models, which typically produce less carbon dioxide than petrol engines with similar power outputs. The range is disappointingly thirsty, averaging 24 mpg. Find the exact engine and CO2 Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
