Summary**---

  • Eye-catching and exclusive
  • Restricted visibility, dated interior, difficult to access boot

As oddballs go, the PT Cruiser Cabriolet is one of the best. It's a three-door drop-top version of the five-door car that's neither an MPV or family hatchback. Buy one and you'll have to forgive its other little quirks - the boot is ridiculously difficult to load, a rear that you have to limbo into and a very restricted rear view. To top everything off, this leftfield choice was originally only available in left-hand-drive, but a right-hand version has been launched since - making things a little easier for UK driving. However, your £17,500 does buy the kind of exclusivity that's normally reserved for Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin owners. We reckon it's best to wait a few years and pick one up as a used bargain.
