Citroën Berlingo (98-09) - Review

Review by Parkers
Last Updated:
We think that the Berlingo shares more DNA with the old 2CV than the C3 and C3 Pluriel. Like the classic Citroën, Berlingo has loads of space, a high roofline and is thoroughly practical. It's based on a van, which brings its advantages, such as low purchase prices and running costs. The optional full-length sunroof makes it feel like a convertible.

Safety

Although crash protection is not particularly sophisticated - only the driver gets an airbag (passenger airbags are optional), it does have a four star Euro NCAP rating. Doesn't feel secure on the motorway.

Reliability

It's designed to lug around everything from flowers for the florist to bricks for the builder, so it's durable. But interior trim is flimsy and may not stand up to the rigors of everyday life.
