Citroën C2 GT (03-04) - Review Review by David Ross on 13 November 2008 The GT is a limited edition version of the C2 that's designed to be a back-to-basics fun to drive model. It's powered by a 1.6-litre engine - this only delivers 110bhp, giving the GT a 0-62mph time of 9.5 seconds - but it's still an enjoyable unit to exploit. Unfortunately the slack manual gearbox takes the edge off the sporty feel, but it's at least an alternative to the semi-automatic gearbox that features in the VTR. The steering also lacks feel, but that doesn't prevent the C2 GT from handling well with plenty of grip and minimal body roll. 2.5 out of 5 Other Citroën reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4.5 out of 5 Running costs Insurance is an amazingly low group 6, it will average over 40mpg and has wide service intervals. Emissions summary C2 is a good choice for eco-friendly buyers. With an average of 158 g/km CO2 across the line-up, its emissions are relatively low for a super mini hatchback. It's worth noting that the line-up does not feature any diesel models, which typically produce less carbon dioxide than petrol engines with similar power outputs. Eco-conscious buyers should consider the 1.6-litre petrol, which is one of the greenest models in the range. The range is also fairly economical, averaging 42 mpg.
