Citroën C4 Picasso (07 on) - Review Review by Dan Harrison on 22 May 2007 Last Updated: 18 February 2011 There are two versions of the C4 Picasso. This is the five-seat version, while the Grand C4 Picasso (reviewed separately) can carry up to seven passengers. This version does share much with the larger model - it's spacious, versatile and well suited to family life. The main difference is the price - it's much cheaper and a better option for buyers who don't need seven seats. It also has a different look (it's curvy rather than squared-off at the rear) and is shorter, though still has a usefully large load area and plenty of passenger space. The diesels make the most sense - especially the 1.6HDi which is capable of 48mpg. 3.5 out of 5 Other Citroën reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4 out of 5 Buying new Look out for offers that are regularly run by Citroën - such as 0% finance, free insurance and cashback. You're unlikely to ever pay list price for a C4 Picasso and it's worth haggling to try and get a decent discount. Amazingly the LX model does not come with a CD stereo – it’s an optional extra, so make sure the dealer fits one free as part of the deal. It'll be more difficult to sell on if you don't and will be worth less. Some of the high-specification versions represent good value though, and are expected to retain their value at least as well as the class-leading Volkswagen Golf Plus. However, opt for the C4 Picasso and you'll have a car with plenty of family-friendly touches and good levels of equipment. SX and VTR+ spec have most of the features buyers need while the 1.6HDi engine offers the best blend of adequate performance and strong economy - it's also available with a five-speed manual gearbox View full gallery See 162 used Citroën C4 Picassos for sale, starting at £4,975 3 out of 5 Selling The market for medium-size people carriers like this is good, so there should be plenty of takers for clean examples at the right price. Those with a full service history and low mileage will fare even better. Choose the right options and you may find it's easier still: DVD screens in the back are attractive to buyers and could give you the edge in a crowded market.
