Daewoo Tacuma (00-05) - Review

Review by Parkers on
Tacuma is Daewoo’s Picasso, Scenic and Zafira rival in the compact MPV sector and it’s cheaper than all of them. Modern styling is one of the high points, as is the spacious interior. All models are surprisingly rapid - but it’s not much fun to drive and the slack gearchange could be improved.

Comfort

Tall shape means there's wind noise at speed, but Daewoo has done a good job of insulating against engine and road noise - it's only intrusive when the car is being driven hard.

Practicality

Plenty of storage space and the seats fold for van-like practicality. Kids will love the optional PlayStation games console with flip-down screen.

Behind the wheel

Well ordered dash is sober looking, but all controls and switches are within easy reach. Driving position is comfortable, but some of the buttons on the stereo can be fiddly to use. Good all-round visibility.
