Daewoo Tacuma (00-05) - Review

Review by Parkers on
Tacuma is Daewoo’s Picasso, Scenic and Zafira rival in the compact MPV sector and it’s cheaper than all of them. Modern styling is one of the high points, as is the spacious interior. All models are surprisingly rapid - but it’s not much fun to drive and the slack gearchange could be improved.

Safety

No Euro NCAP rating, but Tacuma has side impact protection, ABS (except on 1.6 SE) and de-powered airbags that reduce injuries to children. All models have an alarm and immobiliser. Some opportunist thieves may be tempted by the optional PlayStation.

Reliability

No major problems have been reported for Tacuma - like all Daewoos, they're mechanically very strong. The only complaints come from loose or poorly-fitted interior trim - and they are few and far between.
