Daihatsu Sirion (98-05) - Review Review by Parkers on 01 January 1998 Oddball retro looks shouldn't put you off this well-equipped and well-built supermini. Prices start at reasonable prices and most cars have electric windows, ABS, air-con (apart from base EL model), and central locking. Quality is reasonable, but there's a lightweight feel. 2.5 out of 5 Other Daihatsu reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 3 out of 5 Performance 1.0 is a bit weak for the heavy body and needs to be revved hard, so go for the 1.3. It doesn't lose much in the economy stakes and is far more refined and substantially quicker. View full gallery 3 out of 5 Handling Rather bouncy ride in town, but smoother on the open road. Rally 2 and four-wheel-drive Rally 4 are good fun and pep-up an otherwise pedestrian range. All models are grippy, although roll too much through corners. Easy to park and manoeuvre.
