Daihatsu YRV (01-04) - Review

Review by Parkers on
The YRV is billed as a Young Recreational Vehicle - a direct rival to the Nissan Micra and Suzuki Ignis. It's cheap to own, easy to drive and offers a similar package to the Toyota Yaris (with which it shares an engine) for a cheaper price.

Emissions summary

YRV is an environmentally friendly model. With an average of 150 g/km CO2 across the model line-up, its emissions are relatively low for a super mini hatchback. It's worth noting that the line-up does not feature any diesel models, which typically produce less carbon dioxide than petrol engines with similar power outputs. Eco-conscious buyers should consider the 1.3-litre petrol, which is one of the greenest models in the range. The range is impressively frugal, averaging 45 mpg.
