Fiat Bravo (07 on) - Review Review by Simon Harris on 09 July 2007 Last Updated: 31 January 2012 Fiat is back in the family hatchback market with a bang. The Bravo is a replacement for the Stilo - a car that didn't prove very popular due to its dull looks and a cheap feeling interior. Its replacement couldn't be more different however. It may use the same name as Fiat's three-door hatch from the mid-1990s but this car is a generously sized five-door that is a credible alternative to the likes of the Ford Focus. It's elegant and sporty, but most crucially is priced well below its mainstream European rivals. The diesel engines are frugal, but the smaller T-Jet petrol unit offers punchy performance with impressive economy. 3.5 out of 5 Other Fiat reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4 out of 5 Safety The Bravo performed very well in the Euro NCAP crash tests, gaining the maximum five stars for adult safety and an impressive three stars for child safety. All but the entry level car are fitted with six airbags and every model has Isofix child seat mounting points on the outer rear seats. Traction control (which helps prevent the front wheels from spinning under acceleration) and electronic stability control (which can help correct the car’s line when skidding) are available as options. The company is keen to improve on its past reputation, and Bravo owners should experience fewer problems than before, as well as finding a dealer network keener to help.
