Fiat Doblo (01-10) - Review

Gaining inspiration from other van-based cars like the Renault Kangoo and Citroen Berlingo, the Fiat Doblo is a spacious and versatile people carrier that (from 2004) is available with seven-seats. The squared-off shape does little for the looks, but it does mean there's loads of room for passengers in the back while folding all the seats down gives an enormous load-space.

The Doblo was awarded a three-star rating for adult occupant safety by Euro NCAP, which is low compared to alternatives like the Citroen Berlingo and Renault Kangoo - both of which have four stars. Early cars only had ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution as an optional extra, although it is standard on seven-seat Family models.

Reliability

Fiat doesn't have a great reputation for reliability but the Doblo seems to have fared well. We've only heard of a few minor problems and on the whole the car is proving durable and well built.
