Fiat Panda (04-11) - Review Review by David Ross on 22 October 2008 The original Fiat Panda was a low cost, compact, cheap to run, lightweight car. The new Panda stays true to that ethos but unlike the earlier version, is well built, comfortable and durable. Thanks to the upright body it's also surprisingly spacious inside and you can easily carry two adults, a couple of kids and luggage (if you pack carefully). It's also good fun to drive, with light but precise steering making it great in town while it is equally capable on motorways where it can happily cruise along with minimal fuss. The interior is fairly basic but well laid out and the seats are comfortable too. But what really makes the Panda appealing is it's value for money and low running costs. This really is Fiat doing what it does best. 4 out of 5 Other Fiat reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery Also Consider 4.5 out of 5 Ford Ka (09 on) Enjoyable and easy to drive, refined at motorway speeds, cheap to run, plenty of customisation options Some scratchy interior plastics Read full review 4 out of 5 Hyundai i10 Hatchback (08 on) Cheap to run, peppy engines, enjoyable to drive, decent equipment levels, practical and robust interior Automatic version underpowered, steering feels rubbery, ride on the firm side Read full review 4 out of 5 Vauxhall Agila (08 on) Versatile inside, easy to drive and park, economical engines, cheap to run, good space in the back Suzuki offers the same car - but better equipped and better value for money Read full review Find other hatchback cars Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
