Ford Cougar (98-02) - Review Review by Parkers on 01 January 1998 Front-wheel-drive Cougar is built on the underpinnings of the excellent Mondeo which ensures it is good to drive and compared to many coupes, has a reasonably generous amount of space. It's great value on the used market, even if its looks aren't as impressive as they once were but we'd have to point out that the Mondeo V6 has the same chassis and engine, even more practicality and is even cheaper to buy. 3.5 out of 5 Other Ford reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 3.5 out of 5 Running costs Running costs are similar to those of a Mondeo, so it's pretty cheap in terms of servicing and insurance groups are quite low too. The V6 is a bit thirsty if driven hard but that's to be expected with this type of car. The bulk of depreciation has already been lost, so they won't lose much more value.
