Ford S-MAX (06 on) - Review

There are three trim levels - LX, Zetec and Titanium. The LX (which was later replaced by the Edge trim) and comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, heated electrically adjustable door mirrors, a trip computer, air conditioning, seven fold-flat seats, electric front windows, remote central locking, trip computer, ABS, 'Quickclear' heated front windscreen and an alarm. The Zetec adds a leather steering wheel and gear lever, dual-zone climate control and electric rear windows. The range-topping Titanium models get 17-inch alloy wheels, electrically-adjustable driver's seat, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, cruise control, a six-CD autochanger and front and rear parking sensors. A further Titanium X pack can be specified which adds full leather trim, adaptive front lighting (which moves with the steering) and a full-length glass roof. Key optional extras include heated and cooled front seats along with adaptive cruise control (which uses a radar to sense traffic ahead and maintain a specified distance). In 2010 the trim levels were changed to Zetec, Titanium X and Titanium X Sport. The Zetec has 16-inch alloy wheels, climate control, front and rear parking sensors plus sports seats. The Titanium X gets 17-inch alloys, cruise control and extra chrome trim. The Titanium X Sport adds 18-inch alloys, a sporty body kit, sports suspension, panoramic glass roof, xenon headlights, Alcantara upholstery and gloss black trim on the doors and centre console.
