Honda Accord Saloon (98-03) - Review

Review by Parkers on
The Accord looks no more adventurous than before, but underneath the sleekly anonymous exterior are sophisticated VTEC engines. The chassis has also been revised, so although only the Type-R looks the part, even the 1.8i is a fine drive. And there are now practical hatchbacks, too. As always, overall quality is superb, and Accord is very competitively priced considering all that it offers.

Running costs

Competes with other ex-fleet models despite higher parts and servicing costs; insurance starts at just Group 8 thanks to lower repair costs; fuel consumption is good. Depreciation is becoming less of a worry (unless you bought new, of course.
