This Civic was built during the era when Honda's target market were largely all over fifty - that's why the styling is conservative, the interior comfortable and the mechanicals extremely dependable. However we all like to be comfortable, no one likes breaking down and the looks have aged very well. In addition, Honda makes excellent engines and all are nippy, the VTEC units particularly so. The standard of construction is such that these cars still have plenty of life left in them.
