Honda NSX Coupé (90-05) - Review Review by David Ross on 15 Jan 2009 4 The NSX was Honda's answer to Ferrari and Lamborghini supercars - which is evident in its rakish styling - but it was designed to be easy to live with everyday and affordable to run. It's powered by a V6 engine with 280bhp which may not seem much on paper but is good enough for a 0-62mph time of 5. It's powered by a V6 engine with 280bhp which may not seem much on paper but is good enough for a 0-62mph time of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 170mph. However it's the handling which truly stands out with amazing poise and grip. It's also surprisingly affordable to run and maintain (especially compared to other supercars) while reliability is as good as you'd expect from Honda. Getting hold of one can be a problem - only around 400 were sold in the UK and it has a keen following of enthusiasts ready to snap one up. In 2002 a facelifted model was introduced with fixed, rather than pop-up, headlights.
