Hyundai Terracan (03-07) - Review Review by Parkers on 24 October 2005 Who said off-roaders have gone soft? Terracan is proof that the macho 4x4 still exists, and if you need a workhorse rather than fashion accessory, it fits the bill. It's cheap to buy, stacked with kit and quite capable in the rough stuff. And used prices are enticing, making it a great second car for towing horseboxes or caravans. On the down side it's not particularly nice to drive, nor comfortable. 2.5 out of 5 Other Hyundai reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery Also Consider 3 out of 5 Mitsubishi Shogun (00-06) Strong off-road ability, robust build quality, very reliable Poor on road handling, agricultural diesels Read full review 3 out of 5 Land Rover Discovery (98-04) Improved quality, better on-road manners Thirsty V8i, variable reliability Read full review 2.5 out of 5 Jeep Cherokee (01-07) Strong off-road ability, good standard equipment levels, decent diesel models Thirsty petrol engines, dated and low-rent interior, not particularly spacious, lacks sophistication on road Read full review Find other 4x4 cars Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
