Hyundai Tucson (04-09) - Review

Originally there were two trim levels - GSI and CDX. The GSI is well equipped with power steering, air conditioning, Isofix child seat anchors, alloy wheels, remote central locking, front fog lights, electric mirrors and sunroof, electric windows, roof rails and a CD stereo. The CDX adds a leather gear lever and steering wheel, leather seats, climate control, heated door mirrors, heated front seats, cruise control and a trip computer. In 2008 the range was changed to Comfort, Style and Premium. Comfort comes with the same equipment as the older GSI but with privacy glass, an auxiliary input for MP3 players or iPods while the Style adds reverse parking sensors, climate control, heated front seats, cruise control and a leather steering wheel and gear lever. The top of the range Premium has automatic lights, folding electric mirrors, leather seats and traction control. You'll have to be very demanding to accuse the Tucson of being short on equipment. Even basic models have air-con, electric windows and alloy wheels whilst the luxury CDX model adds leather, heated seats and climate control. Add to this the generous standard list of safety equipment plus it's all-wheel drive abilities and you have a value packed proposition.
