Jeep Grand Cherokee (99-04) - Review Review by David Ross on 12 February 2009 Jeep has a strong reputation for building strong off roaders and the Grand Cherokee is no exception. It may not look as rugged as some 4x4s, but thanks to a clever four-wheel drive system it is impressively agile on rough terrain and can cope with seemingly impossible situations. Unfortunately this ability isn't matched on the road. While the Jeep is a good long distance cruiser with a spacious cabin and hugely comfortable seats, it's not particularly composed through corners and the ride is unsettled over poor quality roads. However it is available with some strong diesel engines, although the thirsty petrol models are best avoided. 3 out of 5 Other Jeep reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery Also Consider 4.5 out of 5 BMW X5 (00-06) Image, space, refinement.
