Kia Proceed (08 on) - Review

Kia's reputation improved massively with launch of the Cee'd hatchback - a car which surprised many who saw the Korean brand as little more than a maker of cheap and low-rent vehicles. The revolution continues with the Proceed, a sporty three-door hatchback that majors on style - a first for Kia. It certainly looks good and is quite different from the five-door model (it only shares the bonnet and front wings) while the interior is well built and robust - if a little on the plain side. Disappointingly it's not quite as good to drive as the styling suggests but it's safe and composed nonetheless. The Proceed is also good value and well equipped, plus it comes with a superb seven-year warranty - backing up Kia's claims of industry-leading quality.
