Lexus GS (93-04) - Review

Review by Parkers on
A big techno-barge loaded with equipment which somehow fails to conjure the appeal of European rivals, despite being significantly better value. If you prefer comfort and equipment to golf club car park conformity then this is definitely worth a look but only if you really have to be different.

Well, it isn't going to be cheap. You'll be lucky to get 25mpg out of the 3.0 and depreciation isn't the best. Fortunately it feels like a fairly expensive car.

Emissions summary

GS performs badly on the eco front. With an average of 290 g/km CO2 across the range, its emissions are high for an executive saloon. It's worth noting that the line-up does not feature any diesel models, which typically produce less carbon dioxide than petrol engines with similar power outputs. The range is disappointingly thirsty, averaging 24 mpg.
