Lexus LS (00-06) - Review Review by Simon Harris on 26 October 2006 Still a less desirable brand in the luxury saloon sector behind the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, BMW and Audi, but one of the best engineered cars of its time and owners love the treatment they receive from the dealer network. The options list is short because many of the items you'd expect to pay extra for on a Mercedes-Benz S-Class or Audi A8 are fitted as standard. The LS is roomy, comfortable and luxurious. Heavy-handed styling at the front, partly resolved by a facelift in 2003, spoils what would otherwise be an elegant luxury saloon. 3.5 out of 5 Other Lexus reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery Also Consider 3.5 out of 5 BMW 7-Series (02-08) Supremely refined and comfortable, handles well for a large saloon, huge rear legroom Ungainly styling, Mercedes S-Class more cosseting and sophisticated inside Read full review 3.5 out of 5 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (99-05) Solid, sleek, bags of road presence, extremely comfortable Expensive to run, only one diesel choice Read full review 4 out of 5 Audi A8 Saloon (03-11) Superbly refined, excellent build quality, not as flashy as rivals Slightly bland image, tame driving experience Read full review Find other saloon cars Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
