Lotus Elise (96-00) - Review

Review by Parkers on
The diminutive Elise is a sensational back-to-basics road racer, providing all-round thrills and really looking the part. A classic in its own time, the magnificently sculpted bonnet and side panels look fantastic - as well as having their aero-dynamic purposes - and due to the Elise’s timeless styling and raw, exhilarating performance there are few rivals to the throne.

Good looks, well-engineered, hugely impressive engine, great fun to drive

Engine has to be worked, cramped cabin, can be unpredictable in the wet, noisy on the motorway
