The C-Class is the ‘baby Benz’. It may be bigger than the A- and B-Class hatchbacks, but it’s the smallest saloon that the firm builds and one of the most popular. This one, however, benefits from the technology that Mercedes-Benz has fitted to its larger cars over the past couple of years. The result is that it's better to drive, safer and more comfortable than ever. In many areas - not least in some of the interior detailing - it is similar to the range-topping S-Class. As ever there's a wide range of petrol and diesel engines and a decent level of standard equipment.
