Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate (08 on) - Review

There are three trim levels to choose between - SE, Elegance and Sport. SE is the entry-level spec and offers a tasteful, traditional looking trim, with high-gloss black inlays and a dark interior. As you may expect, the Elegance is more refined and combines Eucalyptus wood with lighter upholstery. Sport is more aggressively styled, with brushed aluminium trim and a choice of fabric colours. Leather is an additional extra (not available on SE). Standard equipment on all models includes 16-inch alloy wheels, ABS with brake assist, ESP stability control, power steering, seven airbags, five three-point seatbelts, two Isofix child seat fixings, a leather trimmed multi-function steering wheel and gearstick, automatic headlamps, an MP3-compatible CD player, Bluetooth, two-zone automatic climate control, an electrically powered tailgate and roof rails. Elegance trim adds a rear central armrest, automatic dimming rear view mirror and rain sensing wipers. Sport adds a racy body kit, 17-inch alloy wheels plus sports brakes and suspension. The Executive SE (introduced in November 2009) is only available with the 180 Kompressor BlueEFFICIENCY engine. It's based on the SE but gets the sport grille, unique 16-inch alloy wheels, the COMAND multimedia system (which includes hard disk satellite navigation) and a multi-function steering wheel.
