Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon (93-00) - Review Review by Parkers on 01 January 1993 Last Updated: 17 November 2006 This excellent compact executive saloon and estate range is many people's introduction to Mercedes-Benz ownership. High standards of engineering, finish and driver satisfaction don't come cheaply, but C-Class has become common, with prices as low as £5000 for early models. Whether it merits paying a premium over German rivals such as Audi and BMW is really a question of how one values prestige. 4 out of 5 Other Mercedes-Benz reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery Also Consider 4 out of 5 BMW 3-Series Saloon (91-98) Image; smooth six cylinder engines; great to drive Not much standard equipment; limited rear legroom; less exclusive than some rivals Read full review 3.5 out of 5 Audi A4 Saloon (95-01) Strong image, good engines, top quality construction Limited rear space, sensitive brakes Read full review 3 out of 5 Volvo S40 (96-04) Wide choice of specs, safe, refined, comfortable Pricey and dated Read full review Find other saloon cars Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
