Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon (07 on) - Review

The entry-level SE trim gets alloy wheels, a leather steering wheel and gearshift, part-electric front seats, electric windows, automatic air conditioning, trip computer, electric and heated mirrors, hill start assist, Isofix points, ESP, seven airbags, Bluetooth connectivity and a CD stereo as standard. The Elegance trim (designed for comfort) adds automatic wipers, adaptive brake lights (which become more intense the harder you brake), wood interior trim and a multifunction screen display. Sport models get AMG bodystyling, 17-inch alloy wheels, sports seats, lower suspensions, front fog lights and a three-spoke steering wheel. From 2009 any cars that come with Audio 50 or COMAND stereos can be fitted with an optional Media Interface which allows iPod or MP3 connectivity. Bluetooth was also made standard. The Executive SE (introduced in November 2009) is only available with the 180 Kompressor BlueEFFICIENCY engine. It's based on the SE but gets the sport grille, unique 16-inch alloy wheels, the COMAND multimedia system (which includes hard disk satellite navigation) and a multi-function steering wheel.
