Mercedes-Benz E-Class Saloon (09 on) - Review Review by Simon Harris on 19 June 2009 Last Updated: 31 January 2012 The E-Class is a mainstay of the Mercedes-Benz range demonstrating exactly what the company can achieve with a saloon. The previous version, launched in 2003, was perhaps an example of Mercedes-Benz trying too hard to include the latest technology - there are many stories of early cars plagued with reliability problems. For the 2009 E-Class, Mercedes-Benz seems to be emphasising the solidity and durability of the car, while bespoke UK equipment grades make the vehicle attractive to company car drivers, particularly in conjunction with new low-emission diesel technology. The majority of the engines in the line-up are impressive, particularly the CDI diesels, although some of the smaller petrols are a little lacklustre in comparison. 4 out of 5 Other Mercedes-Benz reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery Gallery Loading gallery, please wait...
