MG TF (02-05) - Review

TF is available in four specifications; TF 115, TF 120 Stepspeed, TF 135 and TF 160. All MG TF models include, electric PAS, independent coil spring suspension, a driver's airbag, seat belt pretensioners, engine immobiliser, sports front seats, a leather gear lever gaiter, electric windows with driver's one-shot down facility, LED rear brake lamp, green-tinted glass and twin stainless steel tailpipes. TF 115 adds eight-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels and cloth sports seats, while TF 135 boasts six-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels, cloth sports seats, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, sports alloy gear knob, body-coloured heated door mirrors with powered adjustment, Kenwood KRC-379R ICE, body-coloured door handles and grille surrounds, remote central door locking and an alarm. TF 120 Stepspeed adds a sports automatic gearbox with six-speed function, anti-lock brakes, leather/alloy gear selector and cloth sports seats with leather bolsters. Finally, TF 160 is also fitted with 16-inch 11-spoke alloy wheels and a Kenwood KRC-5090R CD tuner. Options include; sports pack 1, with lowered and uprated suspension; sports pack 2 with ABS and 16-inch 11-spoke alloy wheels; sports pack 3, with ABS and 16-inch ultra-lightweight alloy wheels; leather pack with leather seats, a colour-matched steering wheel, handbrake gaiter, door inserts, centre cubby lid and colour matched floormats. The Alcantara pack adds seat facings and door inserts, a black leather steering wheel, handbrake gaiter, door inserts, centre cubby lid and colour-matched floormats. The Oxford leather pack has full Oxford leather seats with map pockets, a colour matched leather steering wheel, handbrake gaiter, door inserts, centre cubby lid and colour-matched floormats. Finally the bright pack has an ashtray, handbrake button, front and rear bumper and side vent mesh, and exterior door handles.
