MINI Hatchback (06 on) - Review Review by Simon Harris on 20 April 2007 Last Updated: 25 October 2011 The MINI, launched in 2001, introduced a whole new generation to the iconic model. Retro was all the rage and the funky hatchback took full advantage with its cheeky looks and classic interior both inspired by the original. The second generation model builds on this formula and although it may not look very different, comes with better engines along with improved safety and comfort. It's still great to drive with go-kart like handling and good performance - even from the entry level First model. Some things have remained unchanged though and the MINI still lacks a decent boot while rear seat space is limited - standard equipment levels aren't generous either. But with a new diesel engine available, superb economy and almost endless levels of personalisation possible, the MINI is a great choice. 4.5 out of 5 Other MINI reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4.5 out of 5 Summary Tweet New price range: £11,870 - £22,590 View all new prices Used price range: £5,594 - £19,153 View all used prices See 7 new models for sale from £13,265 Get a MINI Hatchback (06 on) information pack Next steps MINI Hatchback cars for sale Use our cars for sale search facility to find great deals on second hand cars.
