Morgan Aero 8 (00-10) - Review Review by Ben Wall on 14 July 2006 Last Updated: 24 April 2009 For sheer character and charm, few cars can match the Morgan Aero 8. It may be hand built and with a traditional look, but the Morgan is a thoroughly modern sports car that uses an aluminium chassis while power comes from a BMW V8 engine. This gives it a 0-62mph time of less than five seconds and it feels even faster from behind the wheel. The original model had an unfortunate cross-eyed appearance, but a revised model, introduced in 2006, was a huge improvement. Designed and built in Britain it has a uniqueness few similarly priced cars can match and there are more dealers around than you'd think. However, that doesn't stop it being expensive to buy and run. 4 out of 5 Other Morgan reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Gallery Also Consider 4.5 out of 5 Aston Martin Vantage (05 on) Sophisticated image, stunning performance, road presence, wonderful cabin Waiting list, high price, expensive to run Read full review 5 out of 5 Porsche 911 Cabriolet (05 on) Adds fresh-air to the 911 experience, fantastic engines, superb handling, unsurpassed build quality Fabric roof when many alternatives have folding metal tops, high running costs Read full review 4 out of 5 TVR Tuscan Convertible (00-07) Visual presence, supercar performance, bespoke interior You couldn't use it every day Read full review Find other convertible cars Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
