The 350Z proves that Nissan can make a sports car that is reliable and well built, but also involving to drive with great performance. It's a sharply styled two seater that's also available as a roadster, but perhaps the biggest attraction is that it's such great value for money, especially compared to more prestigious alternatives from Porsche or BMW.

Running costs

Nissan servicing is good value so the 350Z needn't be an expensive car to run, although maintenance intervals of 9,000 miles mean you could have regular visits to your dealer if you're a high mileage driver. Cosmetic changes for the 2006 models are minimal but the interior is much better. Not surprisingly, insurance is group 20 and it will only return 24mpg at best.
