Nissan Almera Hatchback (95-00) - Review Review by Parkers on 01 January 1995 Billed as the car 'they don't want you to drive' and 'they' nearly got their way too, as the Almera was always an underrated and overlooked small family car. However beneath that bland exterior you'll find a well-tuned, sporty chassis and some lively engines. The Almera is inexpensive to buy, and the larger engined versions are excellent value for money. It is a thoroughly competent all-rounder, practical and spacious enough to suit a small family with very impressive reliability, but even the GTi is hardly inspirational. 3 out of 5 Other Nissan reviews Summary Facts & Figures Equipment Driving & Performance Comfort Costs Safety & Reliability Buying & Selling Also Consider Company Car Info Owners' Reviews Gallery 4 out of 5 Comfort A couple of adults will fit in the back although they won't feel spoiled for rear legroom. A look at the roofline will confirm that headroom is reduced in the back. Seats are quite comfortable and the ride quality won't upset passengers. 3 out of 5 Practicality The rear end of the hatchback (there's also a saloon version) looks rather estate like, but the boot is not overly spacious however the seatbacks can be folded to increase carrying capacity if needed. Some people do find the driving position to be rather odd, so make sure you can get comfortable in one. Car Valuations Find used car prices with Parkers accurate car valuations.
