Nissan Almera Hatchback (00-06) - Review

Review by Parkers on
Underneath the conservative-looking body of the second-generation Almera is a well-built package that's good to drive with precise handling, good fuel economy and a comfortable interior. It's competitively priced and well equipped, so those who don’t mind the anonymous looks can pick up a bargain.

Buying used

A sound used buy - reliable and almost always well looked after. Watch out for former hire cars and don't pay too much - depreciation is steep in the first couple of years. Many will have low mileage - this isn't an excuse for a neglected service history. Try for an SXE as the equipment list is impressive.

Selling

Not the easiest car to sell, but if you price it right and present it well, you'll find a buyer. Dealers will take them in part-ex, but unless it's a Nissan dealer, you'll be offered bottom-book price.
