Summary***--

  • Comfortable and well equipped
  • Dowdy image

Despite more unconventional styling than previous generations of Primera, this model still projects an unexciting image. If you want sexy, Nissan would clearly rather steer you towards a 350Z coupe. But that doesn't make it a bad car. Far from it in fact, for it fulfils most of its duties very effectively being spacious, well equipped and reliable. It also strikes a reasonable balance between being satisfying to drive and comfortable to ride in and gets a respectable safety score for its age. The estate is arguably the best version, being more practical and the styling seems to work better with the estate back end. From 2006, a 1.8 petrol engine was the sole engine choice available, as Nissan moved towards offering a wider range of models, rather than lots of model variants.
