Nissan Qashqai (07 on) - Review

The Qashqai is available in Visia, Acenta and Tekna trims. Visia is the entry-level and comes with a trip computer, Bluetooth, electric windows, air conditioning with glovebox cooler, six airbags, alloy wheels and a CD stereo. Options include metallic paint and electronic stability control (although this is standard on all 2.0-litre models). Acenta models add rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, cruise control, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, dual-zone automatic climate control, a four-litre storage tray under the front passenger seat, driver's seat lumbar support, leather-covered steering wheel and gearknob, front fog lights and a six-CD autochanger. Options are as the Visia model but with the availability of a panoramic glass roof and satellite navigation. Tekna models add leather seats, xenon headlamps, 'intelligent key' automatic unlocking, larger alloy wheels and a panoramic glass roof. Options include satellite navigation. New from late 2008 is the Sound and Style edition available with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines. Based on the Tekna grade, it adds 18-inch alloy wheels, the choice of a unique purple-black paint colour, red-stitched part-leather trim, alloy pedals and a Bose premium audio system. In April 2009 a new n-tec trim was introduced between Acenta and Tekna. It gets 18-inch alloys, a panoramic glass roof, rear privacy glass, satin silver roof rails and door handles, sat nav, Bluetooth, a USB port and auxiliary input plus a reversing camera. The Tekna was also upgraded with leather trim, heated front seats and keyless entry and start.
