The new Berlingo is not van based like the old model, but uses a bespoke car based platform. This brings swings and roundabouts. The new car is far more positive and handles in a different legaue from the old model; but has lost the old cars' soft pillowy ride. The 1.6 HDi engine is pleasantly smooth, and will cruise very comfortably at motorway speeds. The seats are excellent, and the driving position is very good too. There is a lot more room around the pedals and footwell than the older model. What's it like to park? Because you sit high visibility is excellent. The back of the car being vertical makes it very easy to place. The mirrors are amongst the best on any production car. Living with it 5 out of 5 Have you had any problems with the car?
