Excellent 2nd hand buy. If anything major goes wrong with it, buy another!

    Costs

    2 out of 5 2.0

41 to 45mpg should be better from a diesel. Hydro-pneumatic suspension cost nearly 4 figures to be repaired after it had seized.

Beautiful to drive with that fantastic suspension.

    Performance

    2 out of 5 2.0

Despite a warm over by Van Aiken tuners, these mechanicaly controlled turbo's are tricky to tune. Don't race anything from the lights.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Bought at 65k sold at 193k and zero engine problems. Changing the oil every 6,000 is the key.

    Invincible but invisible.

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

Tall people stay away as you'll never get a comfy seating position. 6' 1" is the limit (my height) otherwise there is no room for your feet and the seat won't go low enough as your head will be out the sunroof.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Seemed ok. It's a diesel and it's a Xantia, so no one will want to nick it.

    Service

    5 out of 5 5.0

Duxford Citroen Dealership always bent over backwards.

Suspension renewal. Didn't cost as much as everyone fears though.
